Biography

Kim Lundgren (Flute, Piccolo, Alto Flute) is a native of Wichita, Kansas. For over 20 yrs, she has been a member of AFM Local 325 in San Diego, California. In the San Diego area Kim has been an active performer in numerous orchestras, chamber ensembles, and solo recitals. A graduate of the strong music tradition at Bethany College in Kansas, Kim has also studied with flutist/conductor Claude Monteux and Dr. Frances Shelly. Kim is a private flute teacher, flute coach, music educator, and National Board Certified teacher in Music (National Board for Professional Teaching Standards). She has been an adjunct flute teacher and faculty member of Palomar College (San Marcos, California). Her private students have received numerous recognitions from Music Teachers’ Association of California. Kim has also presented workshops for Southern California Band and Orchestra Association, California All-State Music Education Conference, Music Educators National Conference, CMEA-Southern Border Section, and Kansas Music Educators Association. She holds Music teaching credentials in Colorado, California, and New Mexico.
