Biography

Brian Jaffe earned a Bachelor of Arts degree from the University of Denver’s Lamont School of Music in 2012 for Drum Set Performance/Jazz Studies. He studied with Adjunct Faculty Mike Marlier and John Kinzie, as well as Sabar players Mass Mbaye and Vieux Touré. As a Senior in High School, in 2008, Brian received the Louie Armstrong Award for Jazz. In 2009, He was the drum set player for the Blue Knights World Percussion Ensemble’s show, “The Metaphorest”. Since 2011, Brian has been a performed in over 50 musical theater productions with many theatre companies around the Denver-Metro area including Inspire Creative, StageDoor Theatre, Equinox Theatre, Su Teatro, and Vintage Theatre, to name a few. He has also performed with several bands around Denver such as Sir Captain (Pop/Rock & Jazz), The Speaking (Singer/Songwriter), The D-town All-Stars (Rock), Serenade in Blue (Big Band), and Jazz del Barrio (Latin Rock).
