Biography

Steve has taught guitar, electric bass, mandolin, ukulele, and banjo since 1972,  Though his degree is in classical guitar performance, in addition to classical guitar, he has studied and played Latin (including Bossa Nova, flamenco, tango, Caribbean, etc), jazz, rock, pop, country, blues, and more.  He has performed with the Colorado Symphony Orchestra, Broadway shows including the touring company of Disney’s The Lion King, and backed up many touring musical stars and acts.  Steve  fronts his own band “Sure Thing”, plays solo guitar and performs with his classical ensemble, jazz group, and specialty groups for many weddings, social and corporate engagements each year.  Steve loves to perform, and with his extensive and varied repertoire, he can provide the perfect entertainment for any event.  Steve also directs his own music school, Broadway Music School and began the Denver School of the Arts Guitar Major program in 2009 and teaches the high school guitar majors in classical and jazz styles.
