Biography

Sarah Richardson is a violist who performs and teaches in Colorado. In a 30-year professional career she has played in 20 orchestras and 4 string quartets in 10 cities; taught private lessons and public school classes and founded and directed a youth orchestra. Sarah studied viola with Heidi Castleman and Patinka Kopec. Sarah began her Suzuki journey in 2002. Her Suzuki teachers include James Maurer, William Starr and Kathleen Spring. She teaches both violin and viola.

Sarah currently performs with the Central City Opera, Opera Colorado and Tiny Tots educational program for preschool children.Her professional associations include Suzuki Association of the Americas, Suzuki Association of Colorado, International Viola Society and American String Teachers Association. Sarah is registered in Every Child Can, Suzuki Principles in Action and Violin Books I – VIII with the Suzuki Association of the Americas.
