Biography

I grew up in Southern California’s rich music milieu, but have lived and worked in Denver since 1994.  I graduated from Occidental College in Los Angeles in 1980 and played professionally as a bassist in the Pasadena Symphony (under the direction of Daniel Lewis and Jorge Mester), Los Angeles Opera (under the direction of Placido Domingo), and a multitude of regional orchestras and festivals, as well as doing some studio film and commercial work.

Since moving to Denver, I have been privileged to sub with the Colorado Symphony, Colorado Ballet Orchestra, Up Close and Musical, Colorado Chamber Orchestra, Tiny Tots/Inside the Orchestra as well as in various freelance settings.  I’ve played in orchestras backing up such artists as Andrea Bocelli, Brian Wilson, and Earth Wind and Fire.

Along with my work in classical music, I have had a long-standing interest in spiritual formation.  That has led me to work with children and adults at Trinity Presbyterian Church in Arvada as Director of Spiritual Formation, and I also administer the Second Tuesdays at Trinity chamber music series there.
