Biography

Norman is Organist at the historic Trinity United Methodist Church in downtown Denver.  A native of New Jersey, he completed degrees in Music Education, Church Music, and Organ Performance.  At Trinity he shares accompanying responsibilities of the Chancel Choir, accompanies the Chancel Chamber Choir, and directs the Brass Ensemble.  While in Texas he did extensive collaborative work in solo and ensemble contests and recitals.  He has accompanied virtually everything, up to and including classical ballet and tap dancing.  His playing is known for its accuracy and musicality, and he has the ability to learn music very quickly.   

Norman has concertized as an organ recitalist in New Jersey, New York, Texas, Arkansas, and Colorado.  He is also well-known as a versatile collaborative artist on organ and piano, accompanying choral groups, vocalists, and instrumentalists at the secondary and collegiate levels.  Since moving to Colorado he has accompanied school choral concerts and musicals in six school districts in the Denver area.
